BESTeam Feature

My Besteam Feature is on a delightful lady named,Claire.  She is the Shop Owner of bluewhitejewelrywearClaire, was born and raised in New York, recently though, she and her husband have relocated to Santiago, Chile.
Claire says that "This is their first time in South America, and both of them love this new adventure”.  Claire has always enjoyed working with Blue and White Chinese Beads. She creates unique jewelry for woman, yet her jewelry pieces are suitable for teenage girls as well. And being that her favorite materials to work with are Blue and White Chinese Beads. I decided to show my favorite piece using Claire's favorite Beads.
  Pearls and Porcelain Necklace
This necklace, shown above, combines elegant Freshwater White Pearls and Blue and White Chinese Porcelain Beads. I really think this jewelry piece is just stunning, in color and in texture.  If you’re not familiar about these Blue and White Chinese Beads, here is a short note on their history: Chinese Porcelain Beads are nostalgic of the aged dynasty porcelains, and well known throughout the world. The Blue and White Porcelain became established in the Yuan Dynasty (1271 - 1368), yet blossomed in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. These beads are hand painted with Chinese characters illustrating the words: longevity, happiness, wealth, love, and good fortune. The first color hand painted on the Porcelain Bead is Cobalt. Although this color is a very rich and deep dark Blue, it actually lightens during the firing at a high temperature. Next, a white glaze is applied to the bead, which in turn then highlights the Cobalt symbols.

But, dont think for a minute that Bluewhitejewelrywear is just about Blue and White!
Claire has many jewelry pieces in her Etsy Shop that combine several other colors and not only that, she designs other creative items that you might find fitting for your home as well.
Take for instance these sweet and lovely Bird House Wine Glass Charms. I must say, they are so perfect for summer!

Birdhouse Wine Charms

Lastly as I was "window shopping", personally, I was very impressed with the variety bluewhitejewelrywear offers, Claire’s designs look to be well made, creative in design and very attractive. Out of all of her selections it was difficult to find just three items, I could have shown many more I liked, and even more difficult to choose was the last piece for this feature. But, with this being said, I chose this piece for my last.

Chunky Coral Necklace

As of right now, Claire is vacationing in the USA, visiting family in New York. She will be returning July 17, 2011.  If you decide to purchase from this lovely shop, Claire will begin shipping on the 19th of July.  To read more about Bluewhitejewelrywear visit her Blog here! And follow her on Twitter.

My BESTeam Feature

This week’s BESTeam Feature is on a most giving, kind and thoughtful person. I rightly justify this statement because, for every sale in her Etsy Shop, On Behalf Of, ninety percent (90%) of her money she receives for her Art, is donated to help in: providing clean water in developing countries, freeing modern day slaves, care for orphans, or providing medical relief to those with HIV. In fact that’s how Kate came upon her Etsy Shop name, OnBehalfOf. This name reflects the people she helps with the proceeds of her sales in her shop.
Personally, I look at Kate’s artwork often. Not only do I find Kate to be an amazing person, I also find her work to be amazing also! And everytime I return to her shop, my eyes always stop here, to this 8x10 print of an original painting:

Do You See Me

But today, I wanted to share something different, so I chose this to use as my first favorite!

The Morning Will Be On the Other Side

Not only is this art work beautiful, each piece contains a meaningful message, a message of hope and love. Certainly meaningful to the artist, to those it represents, and hopefully to you as well.
You can click on the link of each photo to read the decription.

Kate is humble, claiming herself not to be a professional artist. What I find that she does professionally by her contributions is care and love. She attempts to use the beauty in her art to compensate for the ugly in the world, a powerful and in depth outlook. Kate takes her blessing of being privileged and uses it to bless others. This is something I truely admire. There are too many selfish and greedy people in this world, and here is one person who is not only trying to make a difference, but truly does.
Personally, my next picture, is art that would look attractive in any room of where you live. The colors are soft, and can be very complementary to any color and style of decor you may have. This pictures message targets Human Trafficking and Modern Day Slavery, a message of an issue that is truly happening in our world today.
Dare to Claim the Sky
Lastly a bright and colorful print of an original watercolor painting. Shall we take a guess what this picture is? Well if you know me well, you know I love the water, especially the ocean. And if you do not know me very well, now you know one more thing about me!
The Ocean Tells Me a Thousand Stories
I have a few more things I feel compelled to write. I want to write part of a statement that Kate wrote. I believe it completes this feature, in getting to know my featured shop and artist. I hope you find it as strong as I do:
"Now that I have seen, I am responsible. I believe in possibility. I believe in God's providence. He knows my heart because He made it that way. And He's done so much already. I'm a small girl, but I am pretty determined that not everything about me will be small".
You can find Kate Here:
Etsy Shop: OnBehalfOf
Please visit Kates Blog. On her Blog you will find all the organizations she supports, and many other posts that you may find interesting.

My BESTeam Feature........

This week’s, BESTeam Feature, is on my Team Captain, Karen, of Mystic Wynd. Needless to say Karen has a very unique shop, and she is sure to cover all types of woman who wear jewelry!
As Karen stated  “Whether your style is simple or bold, classic or trendy, elegant or glitzy, Mystic Wynd has something for you at a price you can afford from a crafts person with a simple philosophy”.

To me these Hairpins are a beautiful, sunny, example of simplicity! In fact they are a personal favorite of mine. I have recently used these cheerful Hairpins in a recent Treasury I curatored with BESTeam members.

Karen was born and raised in the Windy City (Chicago, IL).  She was lucky enough to grow up in a culturally mixed and, ethnically rich community. Handcrafted goods decorated their places of residence, places of worship, and occasionally these goods sold when displayed at the little shop around the corner in her neighborhood.
Today, Karen lives in Arizona and is married to a “computer geek”, named Al. She has three children, three step-children, and seven grandchildren.
Lots of things have changed, but the one thing that has not changed though, is her love for crafting.
And this jewelry piece certainly says love and passion.
Pink Faux Pearls, Roses on Brass Necklace - Rosalyn
Creating a jewelry piece as lovely as the necklace shown above takes careful planning and time, trust me, I know!

When Karen worked outside the home, she has been retired for three years now; she worked in the health insurance field.  But due to personal reasons and tired of the “corporate grind”, she started to investigate other options she could do. Remembering the love of crafting, she proceeded into that area again, and created Mystic Wynd.
As I continued "window shopping" at Mystic Wynd, my eyes happily shifted to this!
Sterling Silver Botswana Agate Earrings
Why, you may ask?! Well, because a while back a friend of mine introduced me to these Gemstones! I immediately fell "in love" with them. This pair of earrings combine a gorgeous specimen of this fine Gemstone.

Not only is Karen busy with her Etsy Store, Mystic Wynd, she also has two other Etsy Shops, TheCraftersCabinet, which carries: destash and supplies, and MWElegance, that supplies: Bridal & Special Occasion Jewelry and Accessories. These Etsy Shops are certainly worth checking out, as well as Mystic Wynd!
Karen is also hoping to “launch” her own expanded Web store sometime this year, 2011.
And because Karen loves variety it certainly would be a good idea to check her Etsy Shops often! Adding them to your “Favorites” on Etsy or to your personal computer would be worth your while!
If you do have any questions regarding any of her Etsy Shops, Karen not only is happy to answer them, she welcomes and encourages questions as well!

Karen Is also a proud member of the following Etsy teams:
EtsyBloggers, BESTeam, Etsy Success, Captain's Quarters, Etsy Blog Team, Treasury Team for Tutti, and Handmadeology.

To keep up with Karen and her happenings, (good luck, because she runs circles around me!) here is a list of websites to “follow” her on!
Twitter, FaceBook, Handmade Spark, and Creating the Hive
Be sure to read her Blog, and follow her!She posts often and always has something that's great to read!

A Dear Friend, Jaynemarie - JewelrybyJaynemarie. My BEST Team Feature for this week.

My BESTeam Feature for this week is JewelryByJaynemarie. This is no ordinary jewelry, it is quite extraordinary, due to the perfection and care that goes into each jewelry piece. Jaynemarie's specialty is designing handmade jewelry for weddings and bridal parties. The picture below is exactly what I would have wanted to wear, if I had a traditional wedding today.
Handmade Pearl Flowers Necklace
I’ve known Jaynemarie for some time now. We met a few years ago when we were on an Etsy Team together, and we seemed to instantly bond. I think one of the reasons for this bonding was because we really don’t live very far from each other, a whole 58 miles, maybe less then a few hours of driving. And actually, I really look forward to one day meeting her in person, phone conversations just cannot visualize how beautiful any of her jewelry piece's would be in person.

Jaynemarie’s jewelry designs are made with silver, gold, gemstones, pearls & crystals.
The quality of materials that’s she uses is Grade A, if not higher. Now, this is comparable to a fine jewelry store, but Jaynemarie’s prices will allow you to not only purchase what you want, but something for someone else, or you can treat yourself twice!
Now being a "Fall" kind of person, here are the two items that I would choose!

Handmade Carved Onyx and Sterling Silver Earrings
And of course, because I like to match, I'd like the necklace as well!

Handmade Sterling Silver Carved Onyx Necklace
Jaynemarie started designing jewelry when her girls were very small. She would design their apparel, and then feel the need to accessorize their outfits! She enjoyed designing jewelry so much she continued. After receiving many complements, and questions about the jewelry she wore, Jaynemarie decided to sell her jewelry. Over recent years, Jaynemarie has taken many courses, at local stores and jewelry schools, she is constantly working to improve her knowledge of jewelry in design and construction.
Jaynemarie also loves to do custom work, in fact any jewelry piece that she has in her Etsy Shop can be customized to your fitting too.
Jaynemarie also gives a 10% credit for any referrals, in other words, she will give you a credit of 10% of whatever your referrals spend! And that's not all either, Jaynemarie also gives 10% off coupons for customer's birthdays, an amazing deal!
Lay-a-Ways are also accepted.

I can assure you that Jaynemarie designs with the finest of quality materials, that nothing goes out unless she "deems" it perfect and she would wear it herself.
Like she told me "If it isn't good enough for me (and I like the best), it can't be good enough for me to sell in my shop".

BESTeam Feature ~ Redemption Art, Vintage and Handmade Hawaii

My BESTeam Feature for this week is on a very sweet gal named Connie, who owns and operates, Redemption Art, Vintage and Handmade Hawaii on Etsy.
Connie's shop offers Vintage, and Handmade products, and a few items of Retro, Fabric, Interior Decor, Supplies, and Books!
As I looked around Redemption Art, it was truly hard to find which item was my favorite. I did though limit it down to 3 which I will share with you, my reader <3. My very most favorite item Connie has, is this one, shown below:
Vintage Rose Colored Depression Glass Art Deco Style Set of Three
I know, can you actually believe I picked something I couldn't put on wire or beading wire. I'll tell you it was really easy to pick favorites, what wasn't easy, was limiting them down to three, but somehow I managed. My next favorite, although they rank the same, I LOVE THEM ALL, is this one!
Antique Copper Bucket
Like Connie suggests in her description of this Bucket, it would be great for filling with flowers, some standing tall, like Gerbera Daisy's, one of my favorites, although I can never keep them from dying. Maybe something overflowing over the side like Lobelia. That's always an easy plant to grow, and so colorful when you choose the shade of purple. I can easily visualize this by my front door, with some pretty flowers that I can grow.
What would you plant in the Antique Copper Bucket?

My third and last choice would be this:
Vintage Coco Joe's Tiki Lava Pendant Hawaiian
Since I have never been to Hawaii, and honestly I don't have any future plans of visiting there, I think this would be a perfect souvenir to purchase! This pendant is actually made out of lava composite. CoCo Joe produced many of these pendants during the 60's and 70's. This pendant would simply look perfect on a nice leather cord. And if you chose not to wear this around your neck, well then you can hang it on your rear view mirror.
After all this symbol of a God is thought to be a protector!

After viewing all of Connie's items, because I really did! I can see and understand why she makes this statement:
"I am the queen of redeem! I find complete satisfaction re-cycling, up-cycling and redeeming! Those who know me know my mantra: "it can't be that hard to wash out a can and remove its label!""
And this is something written by Connie also, that I feel the need to show!
My goal is not only to present eclectic, affordable items to my customers, but also to sincerely represent the Aloha spirit in the way that I do business as well as network with customers and fellow etsians...

Connie also has a Blog that she posts often on. I really look forward to her posts, to me, her posts are well worth reading, and I enjoy everyone of them. Yes, occasionally I do read posts on Blogs, haven't so much lately, well because I had the horrible issue of not being able to sign in to comment, I couldn't even comment on my own Blog. But now that's fixed, thanks to Karen, my BESTeam Captain, who always seems to know how to fix my issues with many things! That's just one great thing about being on a team, support, but I will get back to that in a minute.

I really think you should go and check out Connie's Blog, Island Buzzy! And become a "follower" if you haven't yet. I'll tell you its worth reading!
You can "like" Redemption Art on FaceBook
AND Follow her tweets on Twitter.
nd lastly, Connie has recently opened a new shop on Etsy called: volcanogirlcreations
I think you should go and check it out!
You may find a treasure there, to please yourself or someone else!

My BESTeam feature for this week is.......................

My BESTeam Feature for this week is, drum roll please, Knitful Dezigns by Veronica Grace! (everyone stands up and claps their hands). This feature didn’t take me to look at her profile, or search for information. I think I know her, pretty well, from our nearly everyday conversations on FaceBook. And when I miss a day, I feel a bit lost. Veronica’s freshness and spunky personality always adds some sunshine to my day, even on the darkest days. Her personality reflects in her writing, as well as in the products she makes, like this one here below.

Polka dottie be my hottie bow
I met Veronica, during her Give-a-Way, many months ago. I actually won a Give-a-Way! Yep, winning one of these are very special because they are few and far between winning.
Her Give-a-Way Prize was none other, pick ANYTHING from my shop!
I was so happy because, being an outdoor employee I wanted a Beanie to keep my head warm while at work. And I really wanted something flattering, yet functional. So I chose this:
Bashful Beanie in Muddy delights brown
And honestly, not knowing her quality, and her very well, I was a bit unsure until it arrived!
Then after I opened the most sweet full, yes, new word, parcel, I was needless to say more then ecstatic. Now, even though my hair is not long, I was still able to tuck it in, and I had a glamorous, sophisticated look. My dear husband thought so as well! (as of right now, I have two of these Beanies,  and one on the way!)
That’s something I think some women strive for, even if its just to the grocery store, the sophisticated, glamorous look.
So, I wore it that weekend to go shopping, of course for beads, and out to my favorite Mexican Restaurant, Acapulco in Alameda, Ca.
If you want that look, this Bashful Beanie will sure help you create it!

Today, Miss Grace, Veronica showed me pictures of this:
Robins nest
I just thought, while smiling, how sweet, adorable, and cute, yes in that order.
I talked her into listing it, She said she was almost done with the listing anyways.
I told her I would use it in her feature, advertising, always a good thing! But, I would have chose it anyways, well because this sweet little birdie, Miss Grace, is expanding her wings, and doing something out of her extra - ordinary.
It’s a refreshing product, totally something for Spring and Summer. I also thought that it may be a very nice gift for Mothers Day, although its past. An egg for each child she bore, or an egg for each child in the house, and well maybe different colors too, the child’s favorite color, or yours. OR you could stick to the traditional pick and blue. I actually thinking I would purchase a "Robins Nest" soon!

There’s a million and one reasons out there to have this Robins Nest, what’s yours?
Share your thoughts, I am very interested to know what they are!

To see more of Miss Grace, KnitfulDezigns, you can visit her Etsy Shop here!

My BESTeam Feature for this lovely week is:

My BESTeam feature for this week is Bits and Beads by Gilliauna. Now usually when I do my features, I gather all my information of the shop I am featuring, as much as I can! I always start in the profiles of the Etsy Shop and Blog. Then I choose the listings in their shop that I find most attractive to display in my feature. I think I have always had problems in choosing listings from a shop, because it always is a very difficult decision. I also try and keep the reader in mind, so I want to choose listings that are attractive, affordable, even on my budget, and noticeable in quality.

I know maybe you’re thinking "and the point to all this is?"
Well I really wanted to explain how I do my features, so when I went to Gilliauna's profile I read this:
“The colors that surround us add an extra level of beauty and richness to every day of our lives. Sometimes color isn't just seen but experienced through all the senses and even the emotions.
We strive to add a bit of extra color to your life and make each of your days a little brighter with a variety of colorful, quality pieces that will be perfect as a gift for yourself or for someone else!”

Personally, everything written in that statement, is pictured in this lovely set. And it is splendid for year round wear!
Lovely Ladybugs Handmade Earrings
Ladybug Love Handmade Charm Bracelet in Red
I couldn’t help but to show you the "Shop Motto" first!
The way that this is expressed is so meaningful. And although I strive for this, I wouldn’t even be able to write something this lovely and profound!
So, after looking at the listings in this shop, it became quite apparent, they truly feel this way about their designs.
Here are just a few more designs that caught my eye while in their Etsy Shop.

For the person whom likes to keep their eyeglasses nearby, this beaded eyeglass chain is simply beautiful in a very soft pink.
Beaded Eyeglasses Chains - Soft Pink Mornings
Living in Benicia, and having grown up here, I have a special fondness for the ocean. I think this dolphin bookmark is very nice. A perfect reminder of the ocean, and sea mammals.
DolphinBookmark, Book Charm, Book Hook. Handmade Artisan Jewelry by Gilliauna
These are just a few products that I found in Bits and Beads by Gilliauna
This shop has so much more to offer and has a large variety of many beautifully designed items.
I encourage you to go and take a look, but before you do that, make sure you don’t have anything else to do for a while. I can guarantee that you’ll be spending lots of time looking around and hopefully even doing a bit of shopping!
I also have to mention another nice feature about this shop is they also accept Google Checkouts and Amazon Payments!
You can find out more information about that here.
In addition to their Etsy Shop, you can find Bits and Beads by Gilliauna below:

This week my BESTeam Feature is on “Off the Wall Expressions”

“Off the Wall Expression” is a wonderful husband and wife team, who design their own Vinyl Graphics and Chalkboard Decal products. They even provide local installation if you’d like too!
Mike and Tina pride themselves with using the highest quality in vinyl and their great customer service. As I browsed their shop for this feature, I was immediately drawn to this graphic, shown below. I think that this is a perfect way to display family photos for all to see; in fact I think it’s pretty clever!
FamilyTree with photos and leaves, vinyl decal
This is also very lovely in decorating your wall, sure to brighten and add character to anyone’s living room!
Cherry Blossom Branch vinyl decal stickers
