My BESTeam Feature

This week’s BESTeam Feature is on a most giving, kind and thoughtful person. I rightly justify this statement because, for every sale in her Etsy Shop, On Behalf Of, ninety percent (90%) of her money she receives for her Art, is donated to help in: providing clean water in developing countries, freeing modern day slaves, care for orphans, or providing medical relief to those with HIV. In fact that’s how Kate came upon her Etsy Shop name, OnBehalfOf. This name reflects the people she helps with the proceeds of her sales in her shop.
Personally, I look at Kate’s artwork often. Not only do I find Kate to be an amazing person, I also find her work to be amazing also! And everytime I return to her shop, my eyes always stop here, to this 8x10 print of an original painting:

Do You See Me

But today, I wanted to share something different, so I chose this to use as my first favorite!

The Morning Will Be On the Other Side

Not only is this art work beautiful, each piece contains a meaningful message, a message of hope and love. Certainly meaningful to the artist, to those it represents, and hopefully to you as well.
You can click on the link of each photo to read the decription.

Kate is humble, claiming herself not to be a professional artist. What I find that she does professionally by her contributions is care and love. She attempts to use the beauty in her art to compensate for the ugly in the world, a powerful and in depth outlook. Kate takes her blessing of being privileged and uses it to bless others. This is something I truely admire. There are too many selfish and greedy people in this world, and here is one person who is not only trying to make a difference, but truly does.
Personally, my next picture, is art that would look attractive in any room of where you live. The colors are soft, and can be very complementary to any color and style of decor you may have. This pictures message targets Human Trafficking and Modern Day Slavery, a message of an issue that is truly happening in our world today.
Dare to Claim the Sky
Lastly a bright and colorful print of an original watercolor painting. Shall we take a guess what this picture is? Well if you know me well, you know I love the water, especially the ocean. And if you do not know me very well, now you know one more thing about me!
The Ocean Tells Me a Thousand Stories
I have a few more things I feel compelled to write. I want to write part of a statement that Kate wrote. I believe it completes this feature, in getting to know my featured shop and artist. I hope you find it as strong as I do:
"Now that I have seen, I am responsible. I believe in possibility. I believe in God's providence. He knows my heart because He made it that way. And He's done so much already. I'm a small girl, but I am pretty determined that not everything about me will be small".

BESTeam Feature ~ Moonangelnay

Twilight Pink 8x12 or 8x10 Inch Fine Art Photo
I really love being on the BESTeam. Each week members of the BESTeam are assigned an Etsy Shop to write a Blog Feature on. And although I still struggle with writing and setting up the feature itself, overall I have met very nice, and creative fellow Etesian’s.

This week I get the privilege of featuring Moonangelnay!
Naomi is a Photographer, who lives in Birmingham, United Kingdom. Her Etsy Shop is Moonangelnay.
Naomi’s photography can be stated as being: inspired by nature, exclusive, innovated and altered photography.

Old Bird 5x5 Inch Fine Art Photo

Energized by human formation, philosophy, the outdoors, free will, and color. Naomi’s style tends to be abstract, although she says that is always changing.

Tender Heart - Purple Geranium Heart Shaped Petal

Her objective in each of her photographs is to be more then home décor. Naomi wants one to be involved with the photo as well, she hopes that the photo gives you something to think about. Maybe something that you can relate too. I could certainly let my mind wander in this photo. Where would your mind wander in this photo?

A Restful Place 8x12 or 8x10 Inch Fine Art Photo

Besides taking and editing beautiful photo's, Naomi’s other interests include baking, crafts, reading, knitting and crocheting.

She also has a baby accessory store at Etsy, called babamoon!
This shop is filled with the most adorable Handmade Crochet Newborn Hats, Baby Beanies & Headbands. This shop is certainly a must see!

These are only just a few splendid products, Naomi has listed in her Etsy Shop, Moonangelnay. She has many other beautiful photo's, and in all different sizes. I will have to warn you though, you'll have a tough time in choosing. So, its best to get a comfy seat and your favorite drink, because you'll be there awhile!

Keep in touch with Moonangelnay by following her on Twitter, and her Blog.
You'll be glad you are!

BESTeam Feature - CookalasHouseOfCards

This week I am honored and proud to feature Eileen, of Cookalas House of Cards.
Eileen proclaims herself to be pretty much a self-taught artist, having taught herself in mixed media, making jewelry, and photography.

Eileen also writes poetry! This is something I could only dream about, being that I find it difficult to put my feelings into words sometimes. In fact, Eileen has a Blog named: Cheesecloth Moon. This site offers poetry, art, photography, and what she claims to be: “occasional ranting”!
I spent lots of time on this site, it was easy to do!
I enjoyed reading everything she had written. I found myself smiling, relating, and even chuckling to myself. And her photo’s, are spectacular. Yes, Eileen’s photo’s are so picture perfect, its like your right there, and that the object itself is only a few inches from your eyes.
So, overall starting my Monday morning this way was a splendid way to start!
Why not try it out for yourself along with your favorite cup of coffee.
I am sure you will enjoy it as much as I have.
You can do that by clicking on the link below:

As I virtually wandered over to Eileen’s Etsy Shop, CookalasHouseOfCards, upon arrival, I immediately saw this stunning necklace that instantly became my favorite number one jewelry piece!

Another jewelry piece that I really like is this captivating Steam punk Necklace!

In fact all of her work is really very stunning and vibrant!
And it is very noticeable that Eileen puts her time and effort into every jewelry piece she makes.
As she writes: “All my altered artwork is original, one-of-a-kind, and signed by me.
put my heart and soul into everything I design and make. If its not to my satisfaction, I won't sell it. I want all my customers to be happy with their purchase whether they are buying for themselves or someone special in their lives“.

This Shop is certainly worth looking into whether your purchasing for yourself or purchasing jewelry for a gift. Eileen has created many jewelry pieces that use Pandora, Swarovski Crystals, Lamp Work and Czech Glass Beads, Semi Precious Stones, Freshwater Pearls and handmade Polymer Clay Beads, and those are just to name a few!
Her style’s of jewelry, and these are just a few also, include: Viking Knit , Vintage, and Pandora Styles.
In addition to designing these pieces, Eileen uses only high quality materials.

I am sure that you will find a jewelry piece that catches your eye!
And now would be the perfect time to purchase because through the 18th of February 2011, CookalasHouseOfCards is having an enormous SALE!
