New Fall Jewelry!

I am so thrilled with my new Fall / Autumn Jewelry, that I am a bit besides myself. And even though it is not extravagant, filled with detail, sometimes the best things in jewelry are simple, such as life.
Besides, Fall or as some would call it, Autumn IS my favorite season, its colors truly burst out of the seams.
So, with the array of colors to choose from, I could easily say that I am ecstatic! And since I have been collecting Fall colored Gemstones for some time now, I am more then ready to create.
Over this past weekend, I made individualized listings for my Acorn Pearl Earrings. As far as I am concerned these should be selling here quickly now. I also designed a Vintaj Brass Oak Leaf Necklace to accessorize the earrings. I only have the Czech Glass Pumpkin color available right now, but I plan on doing all the other colors soon. Here is a picture of the Vintaj Brass Oak Leaf Necklace.
Fall Vintaj Brass Leaf with Pumpkin (Orange) Czech Glass Beads
Personally, I love this leaf, it is very elaborate and quite distinctive. And to keep "true to nature" I designed this Necklace to include an Oak Leaf, because, Acorns do come from Oak Tree's. Since we are speaking about Acorns, below are the Acorn Earrings that you can complement this necklace with!
Autumn Pumpkin Orange Acorn Earrings
In combining these two jewelry pieces, I thought that this would be a traditional and delightful set!
It would be really nice to read what you thought, so please feel free to comment below.
I also have these earrings in a Swarovski Antique Brass Pearl Bead and Vintage Gold Pearl Bead as well.
I am including the photos with the links underneath:
Autumn Earrings Acorn Capped Antique Brass
Fall, Swarovski Vintage Gold Crystal Pearl Acorn Earrings
I have yet to make matching necklaces for these two colors, but I plan on ordering the materials for these very soon!
As of now, these are my newest earrings for Fall / Autumn. I have a lot more items that need listings, and photos. Quite frankly I should be taking photos and listing items, then making jewelry. Its just that making jewelry is just so much funner!

I have also added a new "Section" to my Etsy Shop" titled: Fall...Autumn...Seasonal,just click on that title, and it will take you right to that section!
To view all of my handmade jewelry, just click here
Remember, if you ever have a question, you can always convo me on Etsy, or find me on Facebook!

Before I go, I would like to share this necklace. I will be listing this piece soon!

Another one of my Favorites! But then again ALL my Fall / Autumn Jewelry pieces are, LOL
And if I have kept your attention this far, then I hope you will take advantage of this coupon offer! For a discount of 15%, please use the code BLOG15 when checking out!
This coupon will expire September 6th, 2011
Enjoy,
Cathy

This week my BESTeam Feature is on “Off the Wall Expressions”

“Off the Wall Expression” is a wonderful husband and wife team, who design their own Vinyl Graphics and Chalkboard Decal products. They even provide local installation if you’d like too!
Mike and Tina pride themselves with using the highest quality in vinyl and their great customer service. As I browsed their shop for this feature, I was immediately drawn to this graphic, shown below. I think that this is a perfect way to display family photos for all to see; in fact I think it’s pretty clever!
FamilyTree with photos and leaves, vinyl decal
This is also very lovely in decorating your wall, sure to brighten and add character to anyone’s living room!
Cherry Blossom Branch vinyl decal stickers
Mike and Tina are very enthused about their product because their Vinyl Graphics can assist you in expressing yourself in so many ways.  Here are just a few more examples of how you can express yourself with their “Wall Art”!
Now, how would this fit in your kitchen?  In fact, it’s really interesting. Do you know the information posted on this graphic?
Bacon Periodic Table Elements Decal
And let’s not forget the Bedroom. There are Vinyl Graphics galore for your room and your children’s room as well. This is one of my favorite's that I could possibly use in my bedroom. And this is offered in so many colors, that you will be able to find the perfect color compatible with your bedrooms color theme.
Vinyl Wall Stickers Funky Flowers
Now remember that these Vinyl Graphics can be placed on most any smooth surface! And I know that when you go to "Off The Wall Expressions" Shop, you’ll find something perfect for yourself, or even someone else.
Just to add a bit of more information with spring here and summer right around the corner, you may have a wedding gift to purchase. Off the Wall Expressions has a nice selection of decorating the location of the Wedding, and even the newlywed’s home.  You can check out this section here, Happily Ever After!

BESTeam Feature ~ Fluttering Flowers

This week I've decide to handle my feature differently. This week I choose questions to send to the shop I was featuring for more like an interview. The answers I received from Fluttering Flowers have not been edited by me, they are straight and direct from her!
Fluttering Flowers says she plays with clay, I don't call what she makes "playing with clay". To me, what she makes is magical, charming and delightful. Just looking at her listings makes me smile!
Here is an example of a favorite of mine as well as hers!:
Bunny Rabbit Family Garden

Bunny Rabbit Family Garden Everything you need to make a big pot of stew FIMO and Sculpey

I started these interview questions on a more personal side, well kind of.
Here are a few of my questions and responses!
1. Name one thing that not many people know about you.
Oh lets see...I do have a terrible fear of crowds and public speaking, I get nausea just thinking about either one.
2. Do you think there should be a support group for spouses of Etsians?
Ha Ha! That's too funny! Luckily my hubby is incredibly supportive of my little hobby. He is also to blame for most of my creations since most of the ideas come from him. He has a great imagination, and it can be frustrating because he often says, "why don't you make this, or why don't you make that?". I can't keep up! ;-p
3. If I came to your home and looked in your refrigerator, what would I find?
A giant bowl of salad, lots of guinea eggs (shhhhhh), Pepsi, chocolate syrup!
Well when Poe said Chocolate, these were my first thought!
Small Cake Pieces

Small Cake Pieces for Dollhouse or Fairy Party FIMO and Sculpey

I also asked questions in regards to her designing!:
1. Your work is very detailed - how long is the process from start to finish for an average piece of art?
Oh wow! That is hard to say, there are so many steps, from making the item, baking it, painting the details if need be, then glossing. Anything from an hour to a day depending on the layering.
2. What is the special appeal of working with (fabric/wood/jewelry components/etc)?
With polymer clay, everything starts out as a conditioned ball and I just roll it out from there, it's a very forgiving medium.
3. It's said that jewelry artisans tend to have a color palette. What's yours?
It really depends on my mood, I really enjoy working with bright colored clay.
BRIGHT? That's easy in this shop!
Rainbow Terrarium Set with Spotted Mushrooms and Flowers.
And lastly I asked her thoughts about networking:
Do you use any social media sites to network? Which ones? Has it helped? Can you offer any advice to someone just starting out with social media?
I use Twitter and I have a blog. In fact, I'm having a give away at my blog for a rainbow terrarium set. You can enter it up until the end of April.
I really wouldn't have a blog or do twitter if it wasn't for my Etsy Shop. I just think it's all so silly and "me me me".
Overall, I think in doing an interview, I was able to have lots more current information, then how I was doing my features before.
And after reading Poe's response's I truly feel that have gotten to know this very creative artist more!
I hope you feel the same way too!

BESTeam Feature - Plumbeadacious

My BESTeam Feature for this week is about a lovely gal named LeAllyson Meyer, from Plumbeadacious on Etsy.
By day LeAllyson works as a clinic compliance and risk analyst, by night, and on the weekends, her entrepreneur cap goes on, and she is instantly transformed into a Jewelry and Website Designer, and an Administrator. Out of all of the caps LeAllyson wears though, being a Jewelry Designer is the one which brings her the most happiness.

I found my own happiness in LeAllyson's shop in these lovely earrings! These earrings are certainly a perfect pair for Easter and Springtime wear!

White Vintage Glass Earrings with Swarovski Crystals and Sterling Silver Beads

LeAllyson has been designing jewelry for seven years , and selling for five years now. She was introduced to the pleasing and delightful joys of creating beaded jewelry, by her daughter. Her goal and aspirations have always been, to provide affordable jewelry for those who want to grace themselves with something captivating, charming, and to visually delight, to “tickle you pink“, so to speak!

In 2010 she moved from Missouri, to Severance, Colorado, a town that she loves and inspires her imagination in designing ideas.
Due to this eventful change LeAllyson is rebuilding her inventory, so, keep an eye out on this shop! I am certain that there will be many new and lovely jewelry pieces soon to come, maybe like these!:

Antiqued Silver Flower Cuff Bracelet Soft Rose Pink

Aqua Glass Briolettes, Freshwater Pearls, Sterling Silver Necklace

LeAllyson's designs include: Glass beads, Crystals, Freshwater Pearls, Lucite, and much more! She uses gold fill and sterling silver in her more refined designs, and you’ll also find other materials such as Copper, Pewter, and Brass, being used also! LeAllyson will always make an effort to clearly describe the materials used. This is one of LeAllyson's many Necklace designs done in Copper!

Copper Shimmer Czech Glass Freshwater Coin Pearl Necklace

and here is the  picture of the matching earrings! This set would certainly add flair to your neutral fashions, and even your bold colors for that fact!

Coppery Glow Earrings - Czech Glass, Freshwater Pearl, Copper

LeAllyson also may be willing to take on a jewelry design idea of yours and turn it into your own unique piece of jewelry, or, if there is a piece of jewelry that you would like to alter in her listings on Etsy, that may be arranged also! She would certainly be happy to discuss either of these with you by "convo" at Etsy or by email to: plumbeadacious@ gmail.com
You can also use either of these forms of contact to ask any questions also!

To see much more of  LeAllyson's beautiful jewelry, visit her at Plumbeadacious
And keep up with LeAllyson on her Blog, and don't forget to "Like" her on Face Book!

BESTeam Feature - From Our Home to Yours

My BESTeam Feature for this week is a mother and daughter team who run a shop on Etsy called Our Home to Yours.

Debbi, who is the mom of this shop is a professional mother!
She has had biological children, foster children, and has recently adopted a child. She finds that not only is art a stress reliever, but it is also her favorite hobby!
Debbi is also very proud to have her daughter be a part of her Etsy venture.

Debbi’s daughter name is Amanda, who is a stay at home mom with a toddler.
Amanda has a Masters Degree in Graphic Designing and is currently looking for a job in that area. In the near future Amanda hopes to offer some of her drawings along with her crafts in their Etsy shop.

This shop has a variety of products for children, fashion accessories, vintage, handbags, items for weddings, hats and scarf’s, and recently they have added handmade jewelry to their shop!

As I browsed their shop, it was easy for me to find items I liked!

I love this vintage crocheted collar! It would look really nice with a cowl neck sweater or you could dress up a button up blouse! And even though it is nearing Spring, there still will be plenty of chilly days ahead!

vintage crochet collar

I think this would be a very unique gift for a wedding. You certainly wouldnt find this at your Target or Macys store. This would be very special to the wedding couple because of its personalization.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I am so partial to scarfs! I would love to have scarfs for every day of the month. And this scarf not only looks comfy, it also looks stylish!

These are just a few of their products I have shown. There is so much more listed in their shop!
I hope you will visit their Etsy Shop, and check out all the wonderful handmade items they have.
