My BESTeam Feature

Well, as we all know, some better then most, life constantly changes. Sometimes its for the better, and sometimes its for the worst. Sometimes things just stay the same, which is my favorite time
My point? I have one, and here it is. Due to certain changes in my life, I have decided after thoughtful contemplating, I have decided to leave the BESTeam.
So, for my last feature, my theme is RED!
My first farewell visit is to the shop of Knitful Dezigns.  Veronica is a good friend of mine, and a very talented woman too.  Right now she is working on a plush doll collection while planning her wedding.  And she takes custom orders.  This Big Bow Headband comes in any color you choose, but I particularly like the red.  You can find Knitful Dezigns on facebook, and twitter, plus she writes her own blog
The next stop on my farewell tour is the shop of Creativity Bugs.  This shop is run by 2 sisters, Sandy and Sue.  They have such a cute and funky sense of style, and it shows in all their items, like this Rock Photo Holder.  A perfect stocking stuffer for that teenager on Santa's list. Follow them on facebook for all their latest news, and bookmark their blog for some reading pleasure.
My next stop is at Mossy Creeks Soaps.  I thought to myself, oh no, will she have red soap?  There goes my theme, but then on page 3, here it is... this Red Box Soap Gift Set.  When you purchase this gift set, you have 10 different soaps to choose from, so you can find something for everyone.  Michelle can be found on her own web page, blog, facebook, and twitter.
At my last stop, Redemption Art, I found this really cool Amber Carnation Milk Bottle.  Connie finds these great items on the great island of Hawaii, and she has so many vintage items.  And if vintage is not for you, she has a 2nd shop, Volcano Girl Creations, where you'll find her great handmade items, like jewelry and cat toys.  Connie writes a really cool blog, Island Buzzy. Reading this you'll feel like you've been on the island yourself.  She also has facebook and twitter.
So there you have it, my last BESTeam weekly feature.  If you are looking for an Etsy team where you can get, and give, some extra promotion, you can find it here.

This week my BESTeam Feature is on “Off the Wall Expressions”

“Off the Wall Expression” is a wonderful husband and wife team, who design their own Vinyl Graphics and Chalkboard Decal products. They even provide local installation if you’d like too!
Mike and Tina pride themselves with using the highest quality in vinyl and their great customer service. As I browsed their shop for this feature, I was immediately drawn to this graphic, shown below. I think that this is a perfect way to display family photos for all to see; in fact I think it’s pretty clever!

This is also very lovely in decorating your wall, sure to brighten and add character to anyone’s living room!

Mike and Tina are very enthused about their product because their Vinyl Graphics can assist you in expressing yourself in so many ways.  Here are just a few more examples of how you can express yourself with their “Wall Art”!
Now, how would this fit in your kitchen?  In fact, it’s really interesting. Do you know the information posted on this graphic?

And let’s not forget the Bedroom. There are Vinyl Graphics galore for your room and your children’s room as well. This is one of my favorite's that I could possibly use in my bedroom. And this is offered in so many colors, that you will be able to find the perfect color compatible with your bedrooms color theme.

BESTeam Feature ~ Fluttering Flowers

This week I've decide to handle my feature differently. This week I choose questions to send to the shop I was featuring for more like an interview. The answers I received from Fluttering Flowers have not been edited by me, they are straight and direct from her!
Fluttering Flowers says she plays with clay, I don't call what she makes "playing with clay". To me, what she makes is magical, charming and delightful. Just looking at her listings makes me smile!
Here is an example of a favorite of mine as well as hers!:
Bunny Rabbit Family Garden

I started these interview questions on a more personal side, well kind of.
Here are a few of my questions and responses!
1. Name one thing that not many people know about you.
Oh lets see...I do have a terrible fear of crowds and public speaking, I get nausea just thinking about either one.
2. Do you think there should be a support group for spouses of Etsians?
Ha Ha! That's too funny! Luckily my hubby is incredibly supportive of my little hobby. He is also to blame for most of my creations since most of the ideas come from him. He has a great imagination, and it can be frustrating because he often says, "why don't you make this, or why don't you make that?". I can't keep up! ;-p
3. If I came to your home and looked in your refrigerator, what would I find?
A giant bowl of salad, lots of guinea eggs (shhhhhh), Pepsi, chocolate syrup!
Well when Poe said Chocolate, these were my first thought!

I also asked questions in regards to her designing!:
1. Your work is very detailed - how long is the process from start to finish for an average piece of art?
Oh wow! That is hard to say, there are so many steps, from making the item, baking it, painting the details if need be, then glossing. Anything from an hour to a day depending on the layering.
2. What is the special appeal of working with (fabric/wood/jewelry components/etc)?
With polymer clay, everything starts out as a conditioned ball and I just roll it out from there, it's a very forgiving medium.
3. It's said that jewelry artisans tend to have a color palette. What's yours?
It really depends on my mood, I really enjoy working with bright colored clay.
BRIGHT? That's easy in this shop!
Rainbow Terrarium Set with Spotted Mushrooms and Flowers.
And lastly I asked her thoughts about networking:
Do you use any social media sites to network? Which ones? Has it helped? Can you offer any advice to someone just starting out with social media?
I use Twitter and I have a blog. In fact, I'm having a give away at my blog for a rainbow terrarium set. You can enter it up until the end of April.
I really wouldn't have a blog or do twitter if it wasn't for my Etsy Shop. I just think it's all so silly and "me me me".
Overall, I think in doing an interview, I was able to have lots more current information, then how I was doing my features before.
And after reading Poe's response's I truly feel that have gotten to know this very creative artist more!
I hope you feel the same way too!

Be sure to visit Poe's Shop: FlutteringFlowers, her blog, be sure to enter the Give-a-Way!
And follow her on Twitter

BESTeam Feature ~ youaremysunshine

My BESTeam feature for this week is on a delightful designer named Nina.
Nina specializes in handmade fabric flower brooches, fabric flower hair pins, rings, earrings, bracelets and statement necklaces. Her designs are beautifully done in several colors. Here is just one example ( a favorite of mine) of what you will find at her Etsy Shop, youaremysunshine!
Handmade Shabby Roses Fabric Floral Necklace Azure Blue
While growing up, Nina attended an “all girls” Catholic School until collage. In collage she studied to be a Vet, because her parents wanted to have a “Scientist” in the family. She says that this is a “very common cultural value in the Philippines”.
Today, Nina works at home on her business, she is actively involved in her children’s lives and assists her husband on his business. She says that she is spending much more time on her business now then ever. This is easily shown in all of the listings in her shop, and often postings on her Blog. To me, this shows that Nina is very dedicated to everything she does. Her designs and craftsmanship certainly reflect her dedication.

Nina has always been interested in interior design, the arts, designing.
In her younger years she would decorate and redecorate whatever living area she was in!
Then and even today, she feels that if she could live in a cardboard box, it would be the most appealing and comfy cardboard box. These items below that Nina has designed would make lovely addition's too any type of living space!
Vintage Button Bouquest No. 1
Lavender Sachets Mint Green In The Garden No. 1
I have shown only a few lovely items that Nina carries in her Etsy Shop, youaremysunshine
So, be sure to take a peek because, I am sure that you will find many things that are eye pleasing, and maybe even something you'd like to purchase :)
You can also visit Nina's other Shop on Etsy that carries Vintage Finds at:  mysunshinevintage

Other places to keep in touch with Nina are on her Blog and Twitter

Have a nice day everyone!
